L'Envol

After the earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Haiti, Marina and Mégane both were forced to go to Montreal, leaving behind their family and friends but especially their country in crisis. This film shares the reality of 2 climate refugees, 10 years after the disaster that changed their lives.

Filmmaker and activist with a Bachelor in Communication and a Certificate in Sexual Health, Marina has worked in Ecuador, Brazil, Haiti, France and Canada. She is fluent in 5 languages and has a deep sensitivity for issues related to the status of black women globally. Her movie 'F', released in 2019, addresses the problem of uterine fibroids in women of African descent. 'L'Envol' is her second short documentary.
